HONESDALE, PA – Throwing on the potter’s wheel\u00a0is a powerfully meditative process. A slightly hypnotic, messy fun that can\u00a0be used to reveal insights into the way the mind works and can be used as a process to\u00a0heal and grow as a person. James Spencer is honored to be the\u00a0Artist in Residence<\/a> for the\u00a02018\u00a0Roots and Rhythm Music and Arts Festival.<\/p>\n

He\u00a0has\u00a0worked over the last 20 years teaching art and working within the mental health community. His work has\u00a0developed into a natural intersection of what might initially be seen as separate disciplines. Spencer, as he’s best known, can be found in the new Bodhi Tree Art School & Studio<\/a> in a renovated space in the former Katz Underwear Factory in downtown Honesdale.<\/p>\n

In this fun, interactive presentation, you will be introduced to the process of throwing on the potter\u2019s wheel\u00a0as well as how to bring more mindfulness and compassion into your life. Four individuals will be selected from\u00a0the group and will offered the chance to experience throwing on the\u00a0potter\u2019s wheel for themselves.<\/p>\n
